Zoës Kitchen restaurant

December 20, 2015 por Carolina Rojas Leave a Comment

I recently received an invitation from Zoës Kitchen to go to any of their locations to enjoy a meal from their menu. I must confess that until that time I used to just pass them by, and the truth is that I never really thought much about visiting any of their restaurants. I imagined that it was just one of the many fast food restaurants, for which I’m not a big fan. Big mistake on my side, because I got carried away by a very misleading picture I had in my mind about their restaurants.

That’s why I begin this post by saying THANK YOU for this invitation, because I never imagined the delicious and healthy food that I would find in there. It really was a pleasant surprise and experience.

Zoës Kitchen

The food from Zoës Kitchen is Mediterranean, therefore there’s an abundance of fresh vegetables, hummus, flat grill cooking, pita bread, and more.

Their food is perfect for me, as I always try to take care of what I eat. The portions are very adequate, as well as having simple yet optimum presentations.

On this opportunity I visited them with my husband and my little daughter, and you can probably imagine that going to restaurants with children may be a challenge in general. However, they had a delicious menu for my little one, and this time we ordered for her a delicious chicken sandwich and a portion of fruit.

My husband ordered the Mediterranean chicken, consisting of flat-grilled chicken, caramelized onions, white beans, Greek salad, and pita bread.

I got tempted with the Chicken pita pizza, which comes with mozzarella, feta cheese, fresh basil, marinara sauce, and served with a Greek salad. The salad dressing they use is Zoës Kitchen proprietary, and each table has its own bottle, where one may use for dressing a salad to one’s liking. I have to mention that such Greek dressing is simply delicious.

They have many locations in the United States, and I happen to have one very close in my neighborhood. I must confess that from that day I have become a frequent client, because despite my love of cooking, there are sometimes very busy days when I just don’t have enough time to prepare something for lunch or dinner, and then I don’t hesitate to go to Zoës Kitchen. The last couple of times I actually placed my orders online, and then I went to quickly pick up my food.

Now, if you decide to go in person, you may enter the restaurant on one side, walk to the counter where the orders are placed, where a big menu is displayed on top showing all the items they offer. They also have fresh-squeezed limeade to be tempted with, as well as cookies and a chocolate cake that always looks at me.

You may also order fountain drinks (sodas), iced tea, or water.

The seats are very comfortable, there are several environments with regard to the seats, because there are seats for two, for four, or for large groups. And if the weather permits, they also have comfortable tables in the outside. It is definitely an excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

In conclusion, a very good restaurant serving Mediterranean food, fast and efficient service, and with fresh and delicious food.
