It’s amazing how fast time flies. I still feel like I was recently at the Pre-K graduation ceremony of my little boy, and now, in less than a week, he will return to classes. During his first school year (or “school adventure”), we had to buy his first lunchbox, and almost by pure instinct, I put together a school lunch and snack. I remember it so fondly, because it was going to be the first time ever that he was going to feed himself. During that period, I remember very clearly how useful Ziploc® brand Sandwich and Snack bags with Easy Open Tabs were. It was the most useful and versatile way to pack his snacks for school. Additionally, they were also very useful to pack his back-up set of clothes for school, among other things.

Now, it’ll soon be my little daughter’s turn. I just bought her first lunchbox, and without a doubt, Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs will be very helpful in this school year.

Considering that all kids are already going back to school, we wanted to throw a party to welcome the new school year, so they are refreshed, excited and ready for school.

Also, my son will start at a brand new school, so there will be many changes for him.

I decided to go to Kroger to stock up for what I need for this new school year for my kids and also for my party.

For the party, I utilized a few pencils as a decorative idea for the flower vase. I always like to have flowers because they give a touch of warmth to the occasion.

I figured that the idea of making hot dogs was going to be appealing to my guests, and even more if we made them on the grill. I certainly took advantage of the opportunity to utilize all the sauces I had, and put them in Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs. I just made a little cut on a corner of the bags, and they were ready to get filled with sauces for the hot dogs.

I also used this occasion to make some cookies (oatmeal and chocolate chip) because my children and guests love them. I kept them in Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs for easy snacking.

For the hot dog recipe, I used the following ingredients:

  • Hot Dog Rolls
  • Hot Dogs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sweet Relish
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Tartar Sauce
  • Baby dill pickles
  • Chili

Place the hot dogs on the grill for about five minutes, occasionally turning them to get them evenly cooked. When they are almost ready, put the bread on a baking tray on the grill to get them warmed up and slightly toasted.

Place a hot dog inside each roll and then let your guests customize them to their taste with the different sauces or chili.
