Ingredients

Scale
  • 425 grams (15 oz) of cooked black beans
  • 2 tablespoons of bitter cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey or sweetener of your choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of almonds

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, process all the ingredients except the almonds and half of the chocolate chips.
  2. Once all the mixture is well ground, add the remaining chocolate chips.
  3. Prepare a square buttered pan and ideally covered with parchment paper.
  4. Empty the mixture into the mold and place the sliced almonds on top.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  6. Once ready, let cool before serving.
  7. And optionally, you can add melted chocolate chips, but that would be extra from the ingredients list.
